Mercedes-Benz Stockport is one of the UK’s largest Mercedes Showrooms.
In order to accommodate the large stock of new cars a MSCP was constructed in 2017. Our client conveyed to us the issues that have arisen with the car park since then which included a large amount of standing water on both the Ground Floor and First Floor Levels.
Product Design
Vision Specialist Contracting visited the site and carried out a number of flood tests before designing a solution for our client to approve. This consisted of the supply and installation of Gully Pots to the First Floor, including all enabling works, waterproofing and re-coating of all surrounding parking bays.
On the Ground Floor due to the deck build up we selected a low profile aco drain, including all enabling works, waterproofing and re-coating of all surrounding parking bays. The system’s ability to be applied in cold temperatures was another significant benefit, as the project would take place over some winter months.
The application
After design approval and PI approval Vision Specialist Contracting Ltd. applied the system swiftly to each of the decks, ensuring the programme of works stayed on schedule, avoiding disruption to the client, achieving a lightweight and effective, long lasting waterproofing and surfacing solution. The designed systems were installed as per their manufactured guidelines under a close QA inspection by our client. All phases were closely managed to ensure minimum disruption and minimal time for a bay to be out of use.
